There are quite a lot of models, here on Althemy, and I do consider myself to be one of them.
Some time ago a friend asked me, if I get paid.
No, I don´t.
And then they asked me: "Then why are you doing it? What do you have from it?"
To be honest, I never considered myself as a professional model and no, I don´t get paid.
First off...I live at the end of the universe, where this kind of photography is still quite new, where you have like...two alternative shops for the whole country and where there is no demand for alternative models (well...it is a little bit, but not really for a paid job. But even just TFP...not many photographers are interested in alternative models...especially if they don´t want to undress )
But I never cared about making money like this.
Modeling is simply just hobby for me. A way to have nice photos, a way to create something, a way to have great memories, a way to meet new people a way to relax, dress up (or sometimes down ) and have fun.
And of course I love making ideas (mine or the photographers) a little bit closer to the reality.
And so I want to ask all the models here: are you a professional model? Do you get paid? And what are your motives in being a model?

I consider myself mostly a blogger but I do quite a bit of modeling. I don't get paid and I don't want to, this is my hobby and I don't want to turn it into another job :)
I do it for fun, for art and to showcase things people make since I love to work with crafters, to make friends and sometimes spread fashion and makeup ideas. On rare occasions, I do art photography that would piss off quite a lot of people for challenging their beliefs, that I do for fun and out of pure evil :D :D
